Gary Keller on Real Estate
This years vision speech “talk”, at Family Reunion 2021, by Gary Keller centered mostly around the threat of Zillow and their vision of creating a “beginning to end” real estate experience for the consumer, that will leave little or no room for the real estate agent. Gary talked about how Zillow began by creating a lead generating website and drove the consumer to that site. Then capturing the consumers data, they in turn sold the data to Realtor. More recently they acquired Dot Loop, a transaction platform for completing offers. They are promoting the ability to sell your home on Zillow and purchase your home on Zillow.
Gary Keller is fighting back.
Gary’s has said for years now how important it is that we, Realtors and Real Estate companies, have to protect the data and in doing so it keeps the real estate agent central in the transaction.
